Today is the perfect day, 10/10/10. But just now saw an ambulance and 2 traffic police on bike passing by. Don't what had happened.

Spent the whole day trying to study but can't do much. Think i better go for a run, can have a clearer mind later.

Heard a very nice and inspirational phrase while watching the movie "Evan Almighty". It goes something like this "If someone prays for patience, do you think god gives them patience or the opportunity to be patient. If someone prayed for courage, do you think god gives them courage or the opportunity to be courageous? If someone prays for family to be closer, will god zaps them with a warm feeling or gives them the opportunity to love each other? "

I find this really meaningful and thought provoking. Have you ever prayed or hoped for something but didn't do anything to achieve it? I have and I'm trying to not just think but also do it. Not easy for me(cos I am lazy) but worth a try.

Dragon boating last weekend. Don't know why spms organizes this event when the dragon boat festival is not even around the corner. (Or is it?) Anyway, I joined and it was fun.

Too bad that the bus driver went to the wrong place and cause us to waste so much time waiting for all the participants to come and in the end, only managed to play for an hour.

Short but tiring and fun.

First Day Of September

As I am typing this, I am hearing the sound the bell that will ring every 12pm of the first day of every month. But this time, it was rather soft and almost couldn't catch it.

After going for the intern fair, I realized quite a lot of companies need maths graduate but most is dealing with statistics instead of applied maths. So, I think I have chosen the wrong track.

It's okay as it's too late to change now and I may not be doing a job relating to maths in the future.

So many problems with the timetable now, need to change my plans just to accommodate a core that was released so late after my planning was done. Didn't want to take it actually but school actually send us email, warning us that not taking it was at our own risk. So, I have to drop 2 modules just to have that one core module that span 3 days of the week. I feel the school is not doing us a favor with all the bad timing of the modules but no choice, we still have to take them.

Thinking

For the past few weeks or so, I have been thinking whether there's a need to continue blogging. I don't understand the purpose of having one. Anyway, I have been thinking a lot lately, maybe too much for my own good.

Today is the first day of school and after a long long break, was actually hoping to go back for lesson. But I really don't like the exams and quizzes, more of them are coming soon.

Okay, tomorrow will be going for intern fair and 2 more lectures after that. More tiring days ahead. Hope to have the motivation to continue updating this out-dated blog.

What will you do if you see $15 on the floor? There are also no one near you. For me, I stood besides it, looked at it, thought for a moment. ignored it and continued walking. I didn't pick up the money but I feel I should have done that. An opportunity wasted.

Exam Coming!!!

Why am I still so slack when the exam is starting in less than 2 weeks? Many of my friends studying like exam is tomorrow and I am still online not studying. I have a Japanese test tomorrow too but I am doing nothing! Must start already or it will be too late. Haha.

Can't believe that I left only 2 to 3 weeks to exam but now, I am still rushing to do my project assignments. Luckily, many of them will finish in the next week then finally, I can study for the finals.
I need to start training for IPPT soon, cannot be like the last time. Pass at the last minute. This time, aim for silver haha.

New Laptop

Got this Asus laptop after dragging for so long but just the second day of using and I experience some problems. I've fixed it and hope the problems doesn't return.

My old Acer laptop has die and luckily I managed to recover the hard-drive's data or the photos that I didn't backup will be gone forever haha. So, the lesson is to backup your computer.

I realised something while visiting relatives in this cny. That is, Korean entertainment is really popular in Singapore. Was surprised when I saw a primary 5 kid watching Korean drama via youtube the first thing I step into their house and he was doing that without the help of his parents.

Then, what surprised me next is the drama he was watching. It's "妻子的诱惑" that's currently airing on channel U. Omg, a P5 kid watching this type of drama. Really not suitable for his age. Haha. Korean show are nice and I am also watching them myself too. Compared to local show, the standard is simply too different.

Tomorrow start school and there's too much thing to do within too little time. Sian.

First post of the year 2010, school starting soon and really feel sian that the whole process of study must begin once again.
Next holiday will be good, nearly 4 months haha. Recently, also hook onto Korean show and music. Maybe, I will learn Korean language next time.
